South Collyhurst Phase 1
DEX Construction is currently building a first phase of 30 new council homes in South Collyhurst.
The South Collyhurst development site is located between Kingsfold Avenue, Whitely Road and Winscombe Drive.
There will be 14 three-bedroom houses, four three-bedroom duplex apartments, one two-bedroom duplex apartment, and 11 two-bedroom apartments, all of which will be Council-owned and available for social rent.
All 30 homes are initially being prioritised for the tenants who were displaced by the previous demolition of the maisonettes in Collyhurst and wish to return to the area.

Greener residential streets
Collyhurst residents told us they wanted to see attractive, tree-lined streets that promote safety and security.
We have included planting at the front of the townhouses to create a green and leafy feel, hedge planting at the gable ends to provide further greenery, and secure access to townhouse gardens.

Car parking
Having listened to local people, all houses have been designed to have a front drive with an electric car charging point. Car parking spaces for the apartments are provided at approximately one space for every two apartments.

Bin storage
During the consultation, people said they wanted to see secure and integrated bin storage. We have designed storage located at the front of houses that ensures bins can be put away tidily to keep the street clear.

Bike storage
Each of the houses will have secure storage for bikes in the garden. Bike storage will be provided on the ground floor of the apartment building.
